Director-General of Civil Aviation Simon Li attended the Pearl River Delta Region Air Traffic Management Planning & Implementation Tripartite Working Group high-level meeting in Hangzhou today.
Together with Director-General of the Air Traffic Management Bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China Che Jinjun and President of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Macao Special Administrative Region Chan Weng-hong, Mr Li received a briefing on the work progress in airspace and air traffic flow management.
They also discussed measures to enhance the efficiency of airspace and air traffic flow management in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The group noted the first stage of the fast time simulation work, which models and simulates the airspace and air traffic in the bay area has been completed.
It will make use of the fast time simulation software to carry out assessment and analysis and complete the simulation work this year.
Measures will then be formulated to further optimise airspace and air traffic management based on the results of the assessment and analysis.
