Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU marked the start of its internal security-related activities with an informal meeting of the Council’s Standing Committee on Operational Cooperation on Internal Security at the Europol premises on 9 July.

The topics discussed by the delegations include the future direction of internal security in the EU, hybrid threats and internal security, and plans for the future.

This is the first time an informal meeting of this kind has been co-hosted by an EU agency, which also honors the 20th anniversary of Europol.
