The Most Epic Celebrity Engagement Rings of 2019 (So Far)

It is just us, or do celebrities all seem to be one-upping each other lately by proposing with increasingly OTT engagement rings? In general, the engagement rings in Hollywood are some of the most luxurious, extravagant, and, of course, expensive in the world, which is why we always turn to the A-list crowd when we want to feast our eyes on major diamonds.

We’ve shared the news of recent celebs to pop the question and pointed out which ring trends are on the rise. But now it’s time to compile the most epic rings of the year: From the stunning nontraditional ring on Katy Perry’s finger to Jennifer Lopez’s truly massive diamond, keep scrolling to see the most memorable rings celebs have gotten engaged with so far in 2019 (and, in case you needed a refresher, the epic rings we saw in 2018, too).

Hilary Duff recently got engaged to singer-songwriter Matthew Koma, and her elegant and timeless square-shaped ring happens to be a major 2019 engagement ring trend. According to an expert at Brilliant Earth, Duff’s ring appears to feature a cushion-cut diamond in a white-gold or platinum-split shank solitaire setting.

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger (daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver) got engaged at the beginning of 2019 after several years of dating. Schwarzenegger’s ring—a massive oval-shaped stone set on a thin band—is a popular style among the Hollywood set.

Orlando Bloom proposed to Katy Perry with a stunning ring we haven’t seen anything quite like. Perry’s ring is a ruby-and-diamond creation in the design of a flower, and although it’s certainly one of a kind, she joins other celebs like Kate Middleton and Heidi Klum who also have colored gemstone engagement rings.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement this spring via a series of dreamy beachside Instagrams featuring a massive emerald-cut ring on Lopez’s left hand.

Next, the engagement ring trend that’s been popular in Hollywood for over 70 years.
